"Summer Restaurant Week is an invitation to locals and visitors to immerse themselves in DC's rich food culture,” said Elliott Ferguson, President and CEO of Destination DC. “We hope these exciting fixed-price lunch and dinner menus inspire folks to sample delicious dishes in restaurants and neighborhoods that may be new to them."
This year, Open Table has all Restaurant Week restaurants on its website, making reservations simple. In addition, GoVenga has developed a mobile app for Restaurant Week to alert patrons of nearby participating restaurants and additional deals.
Humberto Fuentes, owner of El Manantial, said that while Open Table is a convenient way to make reservations, he’d still encourage guests to call to reserve their preferred day and time. Fuentes knows that Restaurant Week can be very busy with people taking advantage of the great pricing and he wants to be sure fans of El Manantial are seated.
"It's a good deal. Everyone loves it," said Fuentes.
