Man With Child Sex Abuse, Bestiality Images On His Phone Arrested In Dulles Airport: CBP

The 28-year-old Maryland man is facing felony charges in Virginia.

STERLING, VA – Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority Police arrested a man in Dulles International Airport on Sunday after investigators said they found obscene and illegal material on his phone.

According to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, CBP agents discovered child sexual abuse material and depictions of bestiality on the phone of Matthew Hunter Stewart, 28, of Chesapeake Beach, MD.

Steward was returning on a flight from Keflavik, Iceland, when he was referred for a secondary CBP examination. In addition to examining his bags, CBP agents inspected his e-reader and cell phone. They reported finding the offending material on his cell phone.

The CBP agents turned Stewart over to the MWAA police, who arrested him. He is now facing 2 Virginia state felony charges: one count of possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation and facilitation of child pornography; and one count of possession of bestiality.
