Reston Abduction: Police Arrest Man For 'Intent To Defile'

Police arrested 33-year-old Dominiqiue Ashley Childs of Reston in Manassas on Monday thanks to a tip.

RESTON, VA — Police have arrested a suspect two weeks after a woman was kidnapped and nearly sexually assaulted in Reston, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police arrested 33-year-old Dominiqiue Ashley Childs of Reston on a charge of "abduction with intent to defile," and he is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, the report states.

Police arrested Childs in Manassas on Monday after receiving a tip.

Police say a 22-year-old woman was walking at around 2:30 p.m. Aug. 14 in the 12000 block of North Shore Drive when a man she didn't know "approached her from behind, and dragged her into the nearby woods," according to a report by Fairfax County Police.

"Once in the woods the suspect tried to remove the victim’s clothing, but then left suddenly," the report states.

The address is near the intersection with Wiehle Avenue in the Tall Oaks neighborhood.
