Reston Area Companies Make Inc. 5000 List In 2022

RESTON, VA — The latest Inc. 5000 list, an annual look at the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., includes companies based in the Reston area.

Inc. magazine ranks the 5000 fastest-growing companies by percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021. Well-known companies such as Facebook (now Meta), Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft and Patagonia are previous honorees on the Inc. 5000.

"The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated," said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc., in a news release. "Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today."

Companies can qualify for the list if they are U.S.-based, were founded and producing revenue by March 31, 2018 and had a minimum $100,000 revenue in 2018 and $2 million in 2021. On average, companies on the list have 230 percent growth and $317.2 billion in revenue. The list contains 695 newly founded companies and 2,915 repeat companies.

Two Reston companies made the top 1,000 on the list: technology staffing provider Gridiron IT Solutions at 698 (895 percent growth) and digital engineering consulting firm Raft at 823 (770 percent growth).

The top 500 companies on the Inc. 5000 list will be featured in Inc. magazine's September issue.
