Reston Association Announces 2026 Board Election Results
Two incumbents and one newcomer garnered the most votes in their respective races for the three open seats on the Reston Association Board.

RESTON, VA — The Reston Association Elections Committee has finalized the results for the 2026 Board of Directors election, certifying winners for three of the board's nine seats. The announcement was made Tuesday during the RA's Annual Members' Meeting.
The election, which ran from Feb. 27 through March 31, saw two incumbents retained and one new member joined the leadership body:
- John Farrell was re-elected as an at-large director for a three-year term.
- Margaret Perry was re-elected as the apartment owners’ representative for a three-year term.
- Georgina Cannan was elected to a two-year term as the Lake Anne/Tall Oaks District Director.
Under RA bylaws, a 10 percent quorum of eligible voters — including both owners and renters — was required to validate the results.

While Perry ran unopposed, Farrell and Cannan each had challengers in their races. Daton Lynch and Greg McCandless ran in the at-large race and Ramon Pardo was seeking the Lake Anne/Tall Oaks District seat on the RA Board.
The board holds significant local authority, including the power to set the annual member assessment and establish community policies. The newly seated 2026-2027 Board of Directors includes Georgina Cannan, John Farrell, Travis Johnson, Jennifer Jushchuk, Michael Lanza, Jalal Mapar, Matthew Mullenix, Margaret Perry, and Izzy Santa.

Next Steps: The board is scheduled to hold an organizational meeting on Wednesday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m.. The primary objective of the session is to select officers for the upcoming 2026-2027 term.
