About 1,200 bike riders participated Sunday in the 28th annual which started and ended at the pavilion at Reston Town Center.
Despite overcast skies and drizzle, the riders went on courses of 35, 65 or 102 miles, looping through Loudoun County towns such as Ashburn, Waterford and Round Hill.
Eric and Susan Lengel of Fairfax took a break for a race-sponosred lunch at the pavilion after completing the 65-mile Metric Century on a tandem, one of only a couple of riders to do the course on a bicycle built for two.
