This is a roundup of all the crimes in the Reston Police District in Fairfax County in the past week.

RESTON, VA — The following is a roundup of crime over the past week from the Fairfax County Police Department for the Reston District Station, which includes Reston and Herndon:

July 7

BIAS INCIDENT: 11600 block of Hunters Green Court, between 7/1/17 and 7/6/17. A swastika was painted on an outdoor wall behind a home.

July 6

LARCENIES:

2100 block of Greenkeepers Court, jewelry from vehicle

July 5

BURGLARY: 12800 block of Graypine Place, between 9 a.m. 6/28/17 and 11 p.m. 6/30/17. An investigation determined entry was forced into a home. Jewelry, gold coins and power tools were reported missing.

SHOOTING INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 11200 block of Chestnut Grove Square, 7/3/17 around 10:45 p.m. Residents heard the sound of gunshots and one person looked out the window to see a male walking past the building. One bullet went through a window. Further investigation determined another home’s glass door was hit with a bullet. No one was injured. The investigation continues.
