Reston Man, 37, Victim In Monday's Pedestrian-Involved Fatal Crash
Fairfax County detectives identified a 37-year-old Reston man as the victim in Monday night's pedestrian-involved fatal crash.
RESTON, VA — A 37-year-old pedestrian from died from injuries he received after being struck by a vehicle at Baron Cameron Avenue and Fountain Drive in Reston, according to police.
Investigators determined that around 8 p.m., Khalid Magan of Reston was attempting to cross Baron Cameron Avenue outside the crosswalk, when he was struck by a 2002 Ford F-250 traveling west on Baron Cameron Avenue. Magan was transported to the hospital and was pronounced deceased. The drive of the Ford remained at the scene.
Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit do not believe that speed or alcohol were factors regarding the driver. Police are working to determine if alcohol was a factor in the case of the pedestrian.

Monday night's incident was the eighth pedestrian-related fatal crash this year and the 16th year-to-date.
