Reston Man Charged In Double Homicide In Dale City

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Homicide detectives from the Prince William County Police Department arrested a Reston man Thursday in connection with a double homicide that took place Sunday in Dale City, according to a police release.

PWCPD officers were dispatched at 2:03 a.m., to a residence in the 3300 block of Bristol Court, in response to a call of shots fired. Officers determined that a large party was taking place when the shooting occurred. Police found two men and one women inside the residence suffering from gunshot wounds. They provided medical aid for one of the men and the woman until rescue personnel arrived. The two men were pronounced dead on the scene and the woman was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

During the investigation, police learned that another man had arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. Police determined that he had been at the party at the time of the shooting.

An investigation by the Violent Crimes Bureau revealed that during the party an altercation had escalated. After brandishing a firearm, a suspect fired multiple rounds, striking the four victims.

Detectives obtained warrants against Karriem Angelo Jackson, 26, of the 2300 block of Hunters Square Court in Reston. On Thursday, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located Jackson in Reston and took him into custody.

PWCPD charged Jackson with two counts of second degree murder, two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, and four counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is being held without bond.
