Reston Orthodontics Practice Celebrates 22nd Annual Patient Pool Party

RESTON, VA — More than 300 current and former patients and their families gathered at Lake Newport Pool earlier this month as a Reston orthodontics practice celebrated its longtime tradition of thanking the community it serves.

Tisseront Orthodontics hosted its 22nd Annual Patient Pool Party on July 10 at the Reston Association pool, inviting patients, parents, siblings and friends to an evening of swimming, food, music and raffle prizes.

Founded by Dr. Stephan Tisseront in 1998, the Reston practice has held the annual event for more than two decades as a patient appreciation celebration. Organizers said what began as a small gathering has grown into one of the practice's signature community events.

This year's event featured raffle prizes ranging from beach towels and water bottles to a gaming console and an electric bicycle.

Longtime Tradition Of Patient Appreciation

Tisseront said the annual gathering offers the practice an opportunity to thank the families it has treated over the years.

"Our Annual Pool Party is one of my favorite traditions because it gives us the opportunity to celebrate the incredible families who have trusted us with their smiles," he said. "We spend so much time together throughout treatment that our patients truly become part of our practice family. Watching them grow, gain confidence, and eventually bring in younger siblings is incredibly rewarding."

He added that the event allows families to spend time together outside of the office.

"This evening is simply our way of saying thank you," Tisseront said. "We put orthodontics aside for a few hours so families can relax, have fun, and know how much we appreciate being part of their journey to the best smile they can wear."

The event was free for invited patients and their families.

Community Outreach Beyond The Office

In addition to the annual pool party, Tisseront Orthodontics participates in several community outreach initiatives throughout the year.

Those efforts include school visits promoting dental health featuring the practice's mascot, Freddy Flossasaurus, and an annual Halloween Candy Buy-Back program. According to the practice, the program has donated thousands of pounds of candy to U.S. troops overseas and raised tens of thousands of dollars for Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Tisseront Orthodontics offers braces, clear braces, Invisalign and lingual braces and has served patients in Reston and Northern Virginia since opening in 1998.
