Reston Scholars Honored As College Students Head Back To School

Patch recognizes college students from Reston who earned honors recently from their academic institutions.

RESTON, VA — Many college students from Reston have returned to their respective schools for the start of the fall 2021 academic semester. But some students have already distinguished themselves during the spring and summer semesters.

The following college students from Reston were recognized recently by their respective schools for their academic achievements:

  • Thomas Allison of Reston is among the 4,1000 first-year students attending Utah State University at the school's main campus in Logan, Utah for the fall 2021 semester.
  • Aparna Kajuluri of Reston received a master of science degree in information technology during the summer graduation ceremony at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
  • Natalie McCrea of Reston was named to the summer Dean's List at the Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester. The honor recognizes students who receive a grade point average of 3.5-3.699 and earn 12 credits for the term.
  • Anne Marie Kellogg of Reston graduated in May from Hofstra University in Hampstead, New York. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in English.
