'Reston United' Vows to Continue Fight Against Paid Parking at RTC
Hundreds of people marched around Reston Town Center on Saturday to protest the move to paid parking.

RESTON, VA — Hundreds of people marched around Reston Town Center on Saturday to protest the introduction of paid parking and the ParkRTC app on Jan. 3, and although the march is over, organizers are looking to continue their resistance to paid parking through a community organization called "Reston United."
The page was created Feb. 25, and while it doesn't say who created it, march organizer Gaurang Shah said on the protest page, "We will continue our work using Reston United Facebook page."
Reston United is not solely about the paid parking issue, but is rather meant to be a "forum to bring people together to identify, discuss local community issues and to create a means for requesting support in times of need (for example, natural disaster)."
