SmartRoof Invests $350K To Create 400 New Jobs, Relocate To Reston
SmartRoof announced it would invest $350,000 to expand its presence in Fairfax County, moving from McLean to its new home in Reston.

RESTON, VA — SmartRoof, which is one of the leading roofing companies on the East Coast, will be investing $350,000 to expand is presence in Fairfax County. Currently based in McLean, the company will relocate to 25,000 square feet of office space at 11091 Sunset Hills Road in Reston.
Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin official announced the investment on Monday. The state had been competing with Maryland to snag the project that is expected to create more than 400 new jobs in five years.
“SmartRoof is an innovative, Virginia-founded company that is changing the standard of service in the roofing industry, and it is exciting to see one of our homegrown businesses thrive and expand,” Youngkin said, in a release. “With one of the nation’s largest transportation networks, a skilled workforce pipeline, and a pro-business climate, the Commonwealth is an ideal location for SmartRoof to reach its growing customer base.”

Secretary of Commerce and Trade Caren Merrick said the state was proud to partner with SmartRoof, calling it a business based on "exceptional quality, customer service, and rapidly evolving product offerings."
SmartRoof CEO and founder Joshua Jerge said that his company's mission is to impact lives through roofing and solar energy.

“This starts with our employees and ripples through the local communities where we work," he said, in a release. "We were founded in Virginia and are excited for the opportunity to keep our headquarters in Fairfax County and improve the lives of Virginians for years to come!”
Jeffrey C. McKay, chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, applauded SmartRoof's investment and the additional jobs the expansion will create in the county.
“Our climate change resilience will be powered by solar and other alternative forms of energy, and SmartRoof is helping to lead that effort in both residential and commercial locations," he said, in a release. "We’re proud to have their headquarters here and look forward to their continued innovation.”
Founded in 2016, SmartRoof has grown to become one of the top 50 roofing companies in the U.S., with offices in North Virginia, Maryland, Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern Jersey, Northern Delaware, Washington, D.C., and Florida.
