South Lakes High Cruises to Another Win, Remains Undefeated

RESTON, VA — Reston's South Lakes Seahawks are now 8-0 after beating Langley High School 42-14, and the team is cruising as they prepare to face another tough opponent in Hayfield (7-1).

South Lakes was down early in the game, but the Seahawks proved too much for the Saxons to hold off and they really opened up the scoring after the first quarter, according to a report from South Lakes Athletics.

South Lakes entered the game ranked No. 8 in the Washington Post's ranking of the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area's top teams, and it is the highest ranking Virginia team on that list. The Seahawks made a huge leap in the standings from No. 18 after taking down former No. 8 Madison the week before.

Hayfield may be the Seahawks' toughest opponent yet, however. The school is coming off a 42-13 win against Yorktown, and is one of the highest ranked teams in Virginia.
