South Lakes High Football Team Ranked No. 19 in New Post Poll
The Seahawks moved up one spot on the list of best D.C. area teams after their blowout 56-18 win over Washington-Lee.
RESTON, VA — South Lakes High School has been named the 19th best football team in the D.C. region in the Washington Post's latest Top 20 ranking of the area's best teams.
The Reston school, which moved up one spot from last week's ranking, is also one of just seven Virginia teams to make the list. The Seahawks recently defeated Washington-Lee 56-18 and currently have a 5-0 record.
South Lakes has one of the best offenses in the region, averaging more than 48 points per game. Their next game will be against 1-4 Herndon this Friday.

Hyattsville, Md. powerhouse DeMatha topped the ranking list for yet another week after winning a tight 14-13 battle with then-No. 2 St. John's, now at No. 5 on the list.
At No. 8, Vienna's James Madison High School is the highest ranked Virginia team on the list.
