South Lakes High Gets Huge Upset Win, Gets Closer to Virginia Championship
The Seahawks defeated the top seed in the state, and will advance to play the defending state champs on Saturday.

RESTON, VA — The South Lakes High School football team just keeps on rolling along, and now the Seahawks are advancing to the state semifinals after thumping the favored, top-seeded Lake Braddock 40-22 over the Thanksgiving Day weekend.
The Seahawks completed a dream regular season and finished 12-1, but as the 4th seed in the playoffs they were still the underdogs to the No. 1 overall Virginia seed Lake Braddock Bruins on Saturday. The Seahawks were ranked 13th overall in the state, according to the school.
Now, the Seahawks will be advancing to the 6A North region finals, which is the semifinals for the state. The winner will advance to face the 6A South champion.

South Lakes definitely has a tough route to the state final. They'll be playing defending state champion Westfield on Saturday. South Lakes fell to Westfield last year in the playoffs.
