
South Lakes baseball had back-to-back losses last week - a 7-0 shutout by Stone Bridge on Tuesday and 6-2 against Fairfax on Friday.
Against Fairfax, the Rebels jumped out with three runs in the first inning and picked up another run in the second. The Seahawks struck with two runs in the fifth, when Marty Gryski broke up the no-hitter with a single and Zack McIntyre reached on a error and advanced to second base.
Kyle King hit a long sacrifice fly to score Gryski from third, which was followed by a sacrifice fly by Justin Cosing that scored McIntyre. The Rebels picked up another run in the bottom of the fifth and again in the sixth to complete the scoring.

The Seahawks fell to 2-9 (1-5 Liberty).
Against Stone Bridge, the Seahawks managed only two hits, both delivered by Austin Gibbons, against the Bulldogs’ ace picther Jacob Bukauskas.

Boys Lacrosse: Seahawks defeat Marshall
The South Lakes Boys Lacrosse team defeated Marshall 14-7 Friday night.
The team got off to a slow start with a 2-2 tie after the first quarter. The momentum picked up after that with the Seahawks scoring 12 more goals, including eight in the second half.
Leading scorer Alex Rofail had a double hat trick. Doug Esherick also had a hat trick. Additional goals were scored by Ben Bush, Peter Moran, Nate Galbraith, Joey Owens and Collin Cahoon.
The defense was led by Alex Friedrich in goal.
Next up for the Seahawks: TJ on Tuesday and Stone Bridge on Thursday. Both games are at home at 7:15.
