South Lakes Theater Stages Family-Friendly 'Peter and the Starcatcher'
South Lakes High School Theater presents four performances of the comedic adventure "Peter and the Starcatcher" in November.

RESTON, VA — South Lake high School Theater is presenting four performances of the family-friendly comedic play "Peter and the Starcatcher" in November.
Directed by Michael Viola, this fast-paced adventure set on the high seas in a faraway land follows Peter and his friend Molly as they overcome pirates and thieves to keep a fantastical secret safe, according to a release.
"Peter and the Starcatcher" will be presented on Nov. 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m. On Nov. 19, there will be a matinee at 2 p.m. and a 7:30 p.m. performance. Although the show is most enjoyable for children 9 and up, it is suitable for all ages. Advance tickets are available for purchase online.

Rick Elice adapted the play "Peter and the Starcatcher" from the novel by Dave Berry and Ridley Pearson. Presented by special arrangement with Music Theater International, South Lakes' production is directed by Michael Viola and features music by Wayne Barker. The show was originally produced on Broadway by Nigel Gibbs, Gregg Shaffert, Eva Price, Tom Smedes, and Disney Theatrical Productions.
South Lakes student Abby Wyland created the original show artwork for "Peter and the Starcatcher" and Tim Shaw created the posters.
