State Police Issue Senior Alert For Missing Reston Man
Virginia State Police issued a senior alert for Michael Leonard Delaney, 75, who walked out of Reston Hospital Center on May 10.

RESTON, VA — The Virginia State Police issued a senior alert Monday evening for Michael Leonard Delaney, 75, who walked out of Reston Hospital Center on Sunday, May 10, according to a post on the VSPD Twitter account.
Surveillance cameras captured Delaney, who suffers from cognitive impairment, as he exited the hospital around 9 p.m. He was last seen wearing a dark shoes with white soles and a black jacket over a yellow hospital gown. He also wears dark-framed glasses and possibly was wearing a black wristwatch, school ring and wedding band, according to the post.
Early last week, search and rescue personnel from surrounding jurisdictions assisted Fairfax County Police in hunting for Delaney, including the Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and search and rescue team members from Prince William County Police. After several days of searching, FCPD suspended the hunt for Delaney on Wednesday, May 13.
