Tipping Fees Waived For Former Haulin' Trash Customers In Fairfax
Fairfax County board passed a measure waiving tipping fees for residents left without a trash contract after company's abrupt closure.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Fairfax County Board of Supervisors passed a measure at its meeting on Tuesday to waive tipping fees for former Haulin’ Trash customers at the county's two drop-off sites.
In a letter sent last week to its customers, Haulin' Trash said that it was ceasing operations and shutting down as of Dec. 1, according to WTOP News.
This left approximately 3,000 county residents without trash pickup, with their only recourse being to haul their refuse to one of the county's two drop-off sites themselves while they searched for a replacement contractor.
