Truist To Close Reston Branch, 10 Others In DC Area: Report
Truist Financial Corp. plans to close 11 branches across the D.C. region early next year, including one in Reston.
RESTON, VA — Truist Financial Corp. plans to close 11 branches across the greater Washington, D.C. area, including the branch located at 11100 South Lakes Drive in Reston, according to a report from the Washington Business Journal.
A Truist spokesperson told the Business Journal on Thursday that a decline in foot traffic led to the company's decision to close the 11 branches and that there would be layoffs associated with the closures. Even with the closures, there still will be roughly 170 branches in the D.C. area.
