Video: Reston National Study Group To Identify Quality-Of-Life Gaps In Community

The Lunch with the Reston Reporter Facebook Live was rescheduled from April 29, due to technical difficulties.

RESTON, VA — Greg Hamm of New City Enterprises sat down with Reston reporter Michael O'Connell for a Facebook Live interview on Friday. Hamm represents Weller Development Co. and War Horse Cities, the two Baltimore-based developers who purchased Reston National Golf Course in 2019.

Hamm also leads the Reston National Neighborhood Study Group, which has been meeting with neighboring communities over the last year about invasive plant species on their shared borders. Earlier this year, the study group unveiled a pilot program aimed at protecting the tree canopy of adjacent properties.

Since the study group began meeting with members of the Reston community, it has received substantial push back, with some seeing its actions as an effort to begin the conversation about redeveloping the golf course.

During the Facebook Live interview, Hamm discussed this as well as the study group's next effort, which is to survey the surrounding property owners identify quality-of-life gaps across Reston.
