The burglar appeared to have forced entry, but strangely nothing was taken.

RESTON, VA — A Reston woman made a scary discovery after returning to her apartment off South Lakes Drive and realizing that someone had broken in, police say.

The woman, who lives in the 11700 block of Ledura Court, returned home to "find her apartment had been entered," according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department, which noted that there were signs of forced entry but nothing had been stolen.

The break-in likely happened between 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 18-21, the report states.
