The American Cancer Society’s Richmond Cattle Barons Ball

The American Cancer Society’s Richmond Cattle Baron’s Ball is the largest fundraiser for the American Cancer Society (ACS) in Virginia. The event returns to Keystone Acres in Chesterfield on Saturday, October 16 from 4-9 p.m., and will again be hosted by NBC12. Auctioneer Russell Seneff will host the auction and mission drive for the event. Donations raised through the mission drive will fund pediatric cancer research. Special thanks to Fitzgerald Financial Group - Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group for presenting a $30,000 matching gift challenge during the mission drive.

If you cannot attend the in-person event, the community can also view a virtual 30-minute “Hoedown at Home” from 7:30-8 p.m. on NBC12. Regardless of attendance, anybody can register and participate in the event’s premier silent auction. Presenting Sponsor Haley Automotive Group will also draw the winner of a new car.

COVID-19 has impacted the American Cancer Society and those battling cancer in many ways since the pandemic began. From preventing cancer patients getting treatment to a decrease in early detection screenings, the pandemic continues to impact our lives. Even during this ongoing crisis, the ACS continues to save lives, celebrate lives and fight for a world without cancer. Recently the ACS announced grants to both VCU Massey Cancer Center and UVA Cancer Center to assist cancer patients with transportation to their treatment.

Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way and that is why our family supports the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. We hope that the Richmond community will stand together with us.”
