Richmond Police Department: Halifax Avenue Homicide, Aggravated Assault

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death, police said.

Yesterday at
approximately 3:21 p.m., officers were called to the 2200 block of Halifax
Avenue
for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found an adult
male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local
hospital with an injury that was considered life threatening. He succumbed to
his injury at the hospital.

The Medical
Examiner will determine cause and manner of death. A second
adult male who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound while in the 2200 block
of Halifax Avenue was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle. His
injury was not considered life threatening. Major Crimes
detectives are investigating. Anyone
