Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States and the second leading cause of death in Virginia for ages 10 – 34, yet suicide can be prevented. Volunteers, participants, and supporters from Loudoun County joined more than 220K fellow supporters nationwide to promote suicide prevention last year through nearly 600 American Foundation for Suicide Prevention community Walks.
This year's Loudoun Out of the Darkness Community Walk will be held on September 19, 2026 at One Loudoun from 11 AM – 2:30 PM. This event raises awareness and funds while offering attendees a chance to connect and find support. Please join us for this life saving event as your participation supports our efforts in funding research, educational programs, public policy advocacy, and local initiatives for those affected by suicide.
Walk with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. Registration is free and there is no fundraising minimum to participate.
