Fairfax Connector Routes in Tysons, Reston to Require Detours on June 24

The detours are linked to construction and road closures in preparation for the start of the World Police and Fire Games this week.

Fairfax Connector bus routes RIBS 1 and RIBS 3 in Reston as well as routes 423 and 424 in Tysons Corner will be affected by construction and road closures in preparation for the start of the 2015 World Police and Fire Games on Wednesday (June 24).

Those routes will take the following detours, according to a Fairfax County release:

RIBS 1 and RIBS 3 — Reston

  • Buses will bypass Cameron Glen Drive and stops near the Fairfax County Human Services Center, with alternate daily service available at stops along Town Center Parkway (Route 950) or Bowman Towne Drive (RIBS 1, RIBS 3).
  • Access to the Fairfax County Human Services Center, located at 1850 Cameron Glen Drive, and INOVA Cameron Glen Care Center, located at 1800 Cameron Glen Drive, is available from Bowman Towne Drive.

Routes 423 and 424 — Tysons

  • Minor trip time adjustments will occur to accommodate road construction and lane closures in the Jones Branch Drive and Westpark Drive areas of Tysons. Adjustments will be reflected on new Route 423 and 424 timetables and bus stop ride guides.
