Fairfax County Animal Control Offering Virtual Ride-Along Monday
Residents can live a day in the life of an animal control officer by following @FairfaxPolice on Twitter and the hashtag #FCPTweetAlong.

If the numerous recent bear sightings throughout the D.C. suburbs have taught us anything, it’s that a day in the life of an animal control officer is more unpredictable than you’d think.
With this in mind, Fairfax County Animal Control is giving local residents a chance to experience a day on the job through a ride-along — sort of.
Today from 1 p.m. until evening, Animal Control is providing a virtual ride-along on Twitter. Community members belonging to the popular social media site can follow @FairfaxPolice and search for the hashtag #FCPTweetAlong to stay tuned into what animal control officers experience on a normal workday.
