New 15-Screen Luxury Movie Theater Coming to Tysons
The theater, expected to open summer 2018, will be located in The Boro, a new super-development on the former SAIC campus in Tysons.

A new 15-screen movie theater is coming to the Tysons area, according to a recent report in the Washington Business Journal.
Bethesda-based developer The Meridian Group told the WBJ that Kerasotes Showplace Theaters LLC has signed a lease to open a new luxury theater in The Boro, Meridian’s redevelopment of SAIC’s corporate campus in Tysons. The theater is reportedly expected to open in summer 2018.
The 15-screen Kerasotes Showplace ICON will reportedly feature upscale dining options and drinks at a lounge outside the theater, as well as reserved seating for shows, according to its website. The Boro, which will also introduce a new Whole Foods location after the popular grocer signed on as an anchor tenant in the area, hopes to capitalize on its adjacency to the Silver Line Greensboro Metro station, which is expected to begin construction in summer 2016.
