New Indian Restaurant American Tandoor Opening in Tysons Corner Center

The restaurant is currently set to open on Thursday, Oct. 22, and will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

Restaurateur Karan Singh announced this week he is opening new restaurant American Tandoor this October at Tysons Corner Center. The official opening date is currently set for Thursday, Oct. 22.

American Tandoor described its menu as showcasing Indian culinary heritage with “an American influence.” A staff of hand-picked chefs have created a menu that features 16 spice blends, each made in-house, as well as samosas many other traditional Indian dishes.

The restaurant will also offer a brunch buffet on weekends from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. American Tandoor will open for lunch at 11:30 a.m. on weekdays.

“I’ve always felt that there was a huge opportunity for Indian food in this country. American Tandoor will present authentic Indian flavors in an approachable and innovative way, unlike anything anyone has seen before,” Singh said in a news release announcing the restaurant’s opening. “I am very excited to watch people fall in love with American Tandoor and Indian food!”

The restaurant and bar fills 4,000 square feet of space in Tysons Corner, and includes an open kitchen and a contemporary atmosphere.

American Tandoor also announced it is currently hiring service staff members. Applications can be found at its website.
