Tysons Corner Bar Is Named Top Party Spot for St. Patrick's Day

VIENNA, VA — Looking for the right place for your St. Patrick's Day party? You might want to check out a local restaurant that made one website's Top 50 list for celebrating the holiday.

Paddy Barry's Irish Pub and Restaurant, in Tysons Corner, is rated #23 on Travel and Leisure's list of the 50 Best Bars in the U.S. To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The list is determined by reviews on Yelp, another website, on which restaurant customers can write up and post their opinions on an eatery after they've dined there.

On Yelp, Paddy Barry's earned an average of four out of five stars, with customers praising the bar's food and service.

"A real gem of a pub," one diner wrote. "Great hospitality with a very personal touch. Reminds me of Irish countryside pubs where everyone is like one big family."

Several customers praised the Reuben boxty sandwich, one of Paddy Barry's specialty items.

"Neither of us had tried (or even heard of) a boxty before but when our waiter took the time to describe them and explain their origins, we both decided to give them a try," a customer wrote. "I have no idea if that is what a boxty is suppose to be like, but it is now my standard."
