1. 1 mile, 86 minutes apart (dailyprogress.com) — Two separate tractor-trailer crashes on I-64 in western Albemarle County, just miles from Charlottesville, killed drivers Alyssa Williams of Chester and Sally Tripp of Fishersville within 86 minutes of each other. Tripp was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center, where she later died, while both truck drivers now face serious charges as state and county authorities investigate the closely timed wrecks.
