ACPS to Select Among Nominees for Outstanding Teacher Award

Eight ACPS teachers nominated for award.

The Washington Post annually presents 21 outstanding teacher awards representing local school systems in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Alexandria City Public Schools will select one teacher from the nominees listed below to be named the division's nominee and award recipient.

The following teachers were nominated by their peers, parents, and students for consideration for the distinction of the 2014 Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award. The Washington Post announces the winners prior to the awards ceremony in May.Ā

A total of 21 awards will be presented – one representing the private schools of the Washington metropolitan area, one representing the District of Columbia Public Charter Schools and 19 representing public schools in the metro area.
