Adopt A New Furry Friend In West End Alexandria For Christmas

It's hard to resist these cute animals, especially when the adoption fees are being waived.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—There's probably no better gift for animal lovers this Christmas than bringing home a new furry friend. Local animal shelters make it more feasible by lowering adoption fees around the holidays.

This year, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is waiving adoption fees for certain animals Dec. 15-24. Eligible animals are listed on the animal shelter's website with a "Home for the Paw-lidays" logo. Standard adoption procedures apply.

If you're still on the fence, maybe some of these adoptable pets will change your mind.
