Alexandria Police Arrest Suspect in Home Burglaries

Maryland resident was arrested on Wednesday.

The Alexandria Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a series of burglaries of local residences, according to a news release from the department.

Police arrested Desmond Maxey, 20, of Maryland, on Wednesday. During the course of investigation, detectives determined the suspect was responsible for at least three of the residential burglaries in the City of Alexandria dating back through November of this year.

Maxey was charged with three counts of Larceny with the Intent to Distribute and three counts of Burglary. More charges may be pending as the investigation continues.
