Alexandria Police Department Investigates Fatal Shooting on Quantrell Avenue

For Immediate Release: September 30, 2020 The Alexandria Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation in the 5900 block of Quantrell Avenue.At approximately 3:50 p.m. on September 30, officers were dispatched to the area for a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult man suffering an injury to the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as a 57 year-old resident of Alexandria. His name will be released after his family is notified.This investigation is ongoing.
