Alexandria Police Investigate Felonious Assault on Taney Avenue

Alexandria Police investigated a felonious assault overnight, in the area near 4100 Taney Avenue in Alexandria (see map below).

A felonious assault usually means some sort of weapon such as a gun or knife was involved.

Police said in a post on social media early Saturday just after midnight that the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

They did not say whether an arrest was made or give a description of the suspect or suspects. There was no information available about the circumstances that led to the assault.
