Cultural Activities Announces Plans for Summer 2021 Programs

The Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural
Activities continues to finalize plans for summer programs with City and
community partners. It is anticipated that details on specific
program offerings will be available to the public on Wednesday, March 24.
Registration for summer programs will begin Wednesday, April 7 for City
residents and on Friday, April 9 for nonresidents. Visit alexandriava.gov/Recreation to
learn more about the City’s summer recreation programs beginning Wednesday,
March 24.

Programs will meet all health guidelines for staff,
participants and spectators,
including symptom screening; use of face masks; enhanced cleaning between
activity periods; and physical distancing protocols specified for each type of
program. To ensure participant safety and prevent the spread of COVID-19,
indoor locations will have limited capacity.
Registration for spring programs opens today, Wednesday,
March 3 for City residents. Visit alexandriava.gov/Recreation to
learn more about the City’s spring recreation programs and to register. For
in-person registration, call the Registration and Reservation Office at
703.746.5414 to schedule an appointment.
