New Book Clubs at Burke Branch

If one of your New Year's resolutions is to spend more time reading, Alexandria Library has the perfect fix–join a book club. The Burke Branch Library introduces two new, compelling book discussion groups for 2014, both scheduled to meet at 2 p.m. The Mystery Book Club will meet every second Wednesday afternoon, and the Afternoon Book Club, which will review notable fiction and nonfiction, will meet every third Wednesday afternoon.

Our Mystery Book Club will start on January 8 with the who-done-it train thriller, Murder on the Orient Express, by Agatha Christie. The Afternoon Book Club will begin with the award-winning book, Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward on January 15. For more information about the new groups, call Caroline Pak at 703-746-1779.
