Police Report Attempted Robbery at Gunpoint Saturday Night

The Alexandria Police Department reported Saturday night that there was an attempted robbery at gunpoint on Alexandria’s N. Chambliss Street.

Police sent out an alert at 9:22 p.m. that they were investigating the attempted robbery in the 1300 block of N. Chambliss Street (see map below).

Police say the suspect brandished a gun, but left the area when the victims told him they had no money. No one was injured. Expect police activity in the area.

Police did not release any description of the suspect.
