Police: Woman Found Dead at Alexandria Hotel

The Alexandria Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a woman was found dead in a local hotel, according to a news release issued Sunday morning by police.

Officers located a deceased adult female inside a hotel room in the 100 block of S. Bragg Street at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1.

There is a Days Inn hotel located at 110 S. Bragg St. in Alexandria. The area is near Interstate 395, where Duke Street turns into Little River Turnpike.

The cause of death is unknown and the deceased will be transferred to the medical examiner’s office. Detectives are actively investigating and more information will be released when available.
