Register for Summer Session at Northern Virginia Community College

Classes are offered for the regular 12-week session, also for six-week sessions.

Registration begins April 1 for Northern Virginia Community College’s summer session.

Students may register 24 hours a day at www.nvcc.edu. For help, visit the campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield or Woodbridge during regular business hours.

Classes in the 12-week session begin May 20 and end Aug. 11. The community college also offers two six-week sessions during the summer, starting May 20 and July 1.

Students can register early to lock in their classes without paying tuition until April 29. Starting April 29, tuition is due by 5 p.m. on the next business day after enrolling.

College students home for the summer can earn community college credits that transfer to their four-year residential colleges. Most colleges and universities accept the credits, but students should consult their residential college before registering.

Students who prefer independent study or a more flexible schedule can choose online, distance learning courses through the Extended Learning Institute. Distance learning courses start at frequent intervals throughout the year.
