Rotary Club Of Alexandria Holds 10th Annual Taste For Giving

WEST END ALEXANDRIA, VA - From The Rotary Club of Alexandria: The Rotary Club of Alexandria and The Alexandria Rotary Foundation hosted the 10th Annual Taste for Giving on October 20th , 2017. The event was held at the U.S. Patent and Trade Office in Alexandria, VA. Attended by over 300 people, the program featured food from Alexandria restaurants and a live auction.

Those in attendance enjoyed live music, wine selections from Unwined, and premium beer from Port City Brewing in Alexandria. This year’s Taste for Giving was a great success, raising more funds for Alexandria community organizations then previous Taste for Giving events. The Rotary Club of Alexandria raised $82,000, which will be distributed to charities throughout Alexandria during the annual Contributions Day in
June.

Mike Wicks is President of the Rotary Club of Alexandria. With his leadership, the Rotary Club of Alexandria will be able to contribute to as many as 45 community based charitable programs. “The 10 th Annual Taste for Giving event was a great example of our community coming together for the benefit of our local charities. It was through the generous support of our Sponsors, the wonderful food selections offered by our restaurants and the effort of our Rotary Club members and community charity volunteers that made the evening an enjoyable event,” Mike said.
