Seventh Annual Wags 'n Whiskers Set for Saturday in Shirlington

Get your pup ready for some fun this coming weekend at The Village at Shirlington’s Wags ‘n Whiskers. A Shirlington tradition now in its seventh year, Wags ‘n Whiskers is a community event for animal loving shoppers of all ages that will take place Saturday, Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

This year’s Wags ‘n Whiskers will be the largest to date – with more than 60 exhibitors, three live bands and extended hours, according to a news release from organizers. You can enjoy exhibits ranging from pet services and accessories merchants to onsite adoptions. Families can enjoy $5 pet portraits, demonstrations, giveaways, merchant specials and family-friendly activities such as face painting, balloon art, strolling entertainment, plus live performances by Dan Haas (10 am-12 pm), Taylor Carson Duo (12 pm-2 pm) and The Morrison Brother Band (2 pm-4 pm).
