Weekend: Santa's Coming to Town, on a Trolley
Stop by, bring your kids or pets, for a photo with Santa on Market Square at no charge. All children will receive a special gift from Santa.
On Saturday, Dec. 13, Alexandria Transit Company (DASH) will welcome Santa as he DASHes into Old Town on the King Street Trolley.
Once down at the Market Square, Santa will be available for photo ops with the public, both young and old. There is no charge, so bring your children and pets for a visit with Santa and have your photo taken by Tisara Photography. All children will receive a special gift from Santa.
DASH will also be on hand at the event to collect toys as part of the “Toys for Tots” campaign for the more than 800 families in Alexandria sponsored by the Fund for Alexandria’s Child and Volunteer Alexandria.

After your photo with Santa, hop on a King Street Trolley, kick back, and enjoy your ride to Old Town’s finest shopping destinations and holiday festivities.
The free King Street Trolley operates daily, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day every 15 minutes from the King Street Metro Station to the Potomac Riverwaterfront: Sunday - Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 10:15 p.m. and Thursday - Saturday: 10 a.m. - Midnight.
