16-Year-Old Girl Raped In Her Bedroom, Abducted In Woodbridge; Suspect In Custody: Police
An 18-year-old man faces several charges after he was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl in her bedroom and abducting her on Saturday.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — After a 16-year-old girl was raped in her bedroom and abducted, police said a Woodbridge man has been charged.
Ivan Santiago Guzman Velazquez, 18, faces several charges, including rape, abduction and strangulation.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning, the Prince William County Police Department said in its report. The victim, who police only identified as a 16-year-old girl, told officers that Guzman Velazquez sexually assaulted her. The two knew each other, and the police department described them as acquaintances.

Officers determined that Guzman Velazquez entered the girl's bedroom through an unsecured window. He then grabbed her by the neck and sexually assaulted her, police said.
After the assault, he took the victim's phone and left the room, according to the police report. The victim followed him to retrieve her phone.

Guzman Velazquez then forced the victim into his vehicle and drove back to his Woodbridge home, police said. When they arrived at his home, he forced her into his bedroom and assaulted her again, according to authorities.
Guzman Velazquez later drove the victim back to her home. The victim told a family member what happened, and that person contacted police.
After their investigation, officers charged Guzman Velazquez with two counts of rape, one count of strangulation, one count of object sexual penetration and one count of abduction. He is being held without bail, and his court date is pending.
