3-Year-Old Killed, 4 Teens Injured In Dumfries Shooting: Police
Authorities have arrested a D.C. man in connection with a Dumfries shooting that killed a 3-year-old and injured four teens.

DUMFRIES, VA — The five people who were shot in Dumfries on Wednesday morning were all children, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities have arrested a suspect who had been staying at the home with the victims on Milroy Drive, where the shooting occurred.
The police department has not identified any of the victims by name due to their age. One victim, a 3-year-old girl, was fatally shot; she was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting. Three of the other victims — a 17-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl, and a 14-year-old girl — were related to the slain 3-year-old. Another family member, a 17-year-old boy, was also shot.
The surviving victims are receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries at area hospitals, according to the police department.

Authorities said Oglesby was in a relationship with the 17-year-old victim. They had an altercation outside the home, where Oglesby shot her, police claim. Investigators believe he shot the remaining victims inside the home.
A police officer found Oglesby after authorities set up a perimeter around the area on Wednesday morning. An officer found Oglesby at a nearby business. Detectives claimed that Oglesby was uncooperative when they asked what led to the shooting.
"Two firearms were recovered during the investigation," the police department said in a news release. "Ballistics testing will be conducted to confirm if the firearms were used in the incident."
Authorities are asking anyone who may have more information about the shooting to contact the police department's tipline at 703-792-7000. Investigators are asking residents in the Milroy Drive area to check any surveillance cameras for possible footage. Tips can also be submitted online.
