Accused Bank Robber Arrested In Woodbridge: Police
Authorities have arrested a man who is accused of robbing a bank in Woodbridge in June, the Prince William Police Department said.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a June bank robbery in Woodbridge. The police department identified a suspect on Dec. 1 and took him into custody on Wednesday, authorities said.
Police identified the suspect as 54-year-old Stacy Lee Scott. Scott was charged with one count of robbery. His court date is pending and his bond was listed as unavailable.
If convicted, Scott could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

The robbery occurred around 11:45 a.m. on June 8, 2022 at the Apple Federal Credit Union on Potomac Mills Road. Authorities said a man came into the bank and passed a teller a note that claimed he had a gun.
The robber, who was wearing a mask, then left the bank with cash. Authorities searched for him, but they were unable to locate him.

Detectives identified Scott as a suspect earlier this month, but they were not able to locate him until Wednesday.
