PWC Murder Suspect Detained By US Marshals: Police

A man wanted for the murder of a 21-year-old in Woodbridge has been arrested after nearly a week on the run.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – A Prince William County man wanted for murder was arrested on Sunday, police say.

According to the Prince William County Police Department, Thomas Lynnwood Brown, 23, of Triangle, was arrested by US Marshals at a location on Westfields Boulevard in Centreville on Sunday.

Brown was wanted for the murder of Ricardo Xavier Haley, 21, of Gainesville, who police say was a family member of his. Police say Haley was shot during an altercation at a home on the 13400 block of Grayson Hill Circle in Woodbridge on July 27 and died at the scene.

Brown is charged with second-degree murder and using a firearm while committing a felony.

A man by the name of Thomas Lynwood Brown, who shares the same birthday as the suspect, appears to have four years of criminal charges in Northern Virginia, including convictions for drug possession, auto theft and assault and battery.

Brown is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
