PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – Two firefighters were hurt and several people had to be rescued from a three-alarm fire in Woodbridge on Saturday.
Crews responding to the 15700 block of Tassia Lane in Woodbridge on Saturday at about 5 p.m. found fire engulfing all three levels of a three-story garden apartment building, the Prince William County firefighters' union says. Multiple people were trapped on the building's upper floors and required rescue, and two firefighters were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to WUSA 9, 12 adults and seven children were displaced by the fire. The American Red Cross says it is helping 12 families displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
